Popular appeal of cutting-edge environmental technology

Machine Industry Memorial Foundation (TEPIA) is more of Tokyo Kitaaoyama “TEPIA Plaza” exhibition in the “Technology Pavilion @ TEPIA” renewal and replacement of the contents of the exhibition.
Environmental technology are especially focused on exposure to the renewal. For example, being developed by Daihatsu and demonstration of fuel cells do not require a platinum catalyst, and equipment to oil and oil on the bench for the recycling of polyethylene and polypropylene or “Be-h” (with breast) and on display that. Daihatsu fuel hydrazine as fuel and water pressure, Ni and Co on the electrode (related article). Demonstrations are run on a motor vehicle models showcased Toyako Summit, a 10% concentration of hydrazine added to water to 300ml of an 8 hour drive. The “Life and Communications” in the cluster, which exhibits improved life support robot. And the rehabilitation robot arm developed by the Laboratory for Yano, Gifu University, 2008 and has been released into the care robot.

Kia Forte LPI hybrid and Mohave Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV)

In addition to presenting Kia Seoul Motor Show, a prototype of the fuel cell vehicle Mohave FCEV. This hydrogen-powered SUV is a powerful 115 kW fuel cell powered and can reach a maximum speed of 160 km/h. The scope of the companion is about 750 kilometers.

Kia Forte LPI hybrid

Kia is already planning the introduction of other alternative drives. 2011 a full-hybrid model coming middle class, for 2012 is the first use of fuel cell technology in a production vehicle announced.

- Eco Dynamics badge to identify environmentally-friendly vehicles
- Forte LPI Hybrid to be launched in August featuring maximum power of 114ps and fuel efficiency of 0.0125 km/$
- Revamped interior and exterior, hybrid jingle sets Forte LPI Hybrid apart from predecessor
- Korea’s first look at Mohave fuel cell electric vehicle with top speed of 160km/h and fuel efficiency of 0.0167 km/$

First showcased at the 2008 Los Angeles International Auto Show, the Mohave FCEV is a next-generation FCEV with vastly improved performance over the previous Sportage FCE.

The three tank hydrogen storage system (700 bar) in the Mohave FCEV has a single-fueling cruising distance of approximately 750km, nearly double the top range (384km) of the previous generation.

Alster-Touristik start the season with fuel cell boat (ZemShips)

Alster-Touristik start the season on Saturday in Hamburg . Included is the new fuel cell boat “FCS Alsterwasse (ZemShips)”. Gabriele Müller-Remer, managing director of Alster-Touristik GmbH said “We are optimistic after the test that these forward-looking technology, but also the demands of the regular cope” on monday.

As in the previous year, there will be no parade of white discharge Aussenalster (Outer Alster Lake in one of two artificial lakes within the city limits of Hamburg) fleet type. Reason, the construction of the subway line 4th Overall, the fleet comprises 18 vessels. Alster-Touristik back to the number of passengers around 13,000 to 443,000 in the 2008 season. A certain balance brought the punch and Fleet rides in the winter, the stronger than in previous years demand. The rise in prices this year: depending on the ticket by up to 1.50 euros.

The FCS Alsterwasse (ZemShips) is driven by an electric motor, of its electricity from emission-free fuel cell gets.

Mazda Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid

The Mazda5 Hydrogen RE Hybrid is the second commercially available model of the manufacturer with hydrogen rotary engine. Since 2006, the RX-8 Hydrogen RE for the leasing business released, in contrast to the Mazda5 Hydrogen RE Hybrid, but it is only by its rotary engine and no additional electric motor on board.

Mazda Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid

The Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid features a series-type hybrid drivetrain, which combines Mazda’s hydrogen rotary engine with an electric motor. The engine output is converted to electricity, which then powers the motor that drives the wheels. This hybrid system boosts the hydrogen fuel range of the Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid to 200 kilometers, twice the range of the RX-8 Hydrogen RE, and increases the maximum output by approximately 40 percent, to 110 kilowatts.

The variant of the Mazda Series Hybrid drive combines the familiar hydrogen rotary engine, the push of a button on either gasoline or hydrogen (Dual Fuel System) is working with an electric motor. The system converts the energy derived from combustion engine into electric current, then the electric motor and thereby driving the vehicle.
