Hydrogen vehicle’s tested in Europe: Opel HydroGen4

 

Hydrogen technologies trace their route in Europe. The manufacturer General Motors has announced that Opel HydroGen4, the fourth generation of vehicles with fuel cells with hydrogen, are now tested daily in real conditions in the streets of Berlin (Germany) by nine companies in Berlin (ADAC, Allianz, Coca Cola, Hilton, Linde, Schindler, Axel Springer, Total, Veolia). The Opel HydroGen4 have a fuel cell consisting of 440 cells connected in series. The whole system provides a power of 93 kW and feeds a synchronous electric motor of 100 hp (73 kW). And they have a system with 3 storage tanks at high pressure of 700 bars made of carbon fiber they contain 4.2 kg of hydrogen. Their autonomy is 320 km. The acceleration. The 0-100 km/h in 12 seconds. Their speed is 160 km/h.

Their other assets. They can operate at temperatures below zero degrees and are equipped with wireless communication for engineers collect data. Not bad!
